Former South Korean Minister of Labor Kim Won-soo announced his candidacy for president.

On April 9, Jin10 reported that former South Korean Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo held a press conference at the National Assembly on the 9th, announcing his candidacy for the 21st presidential election. He emphasized that he has no lawsuits or "judicial risks" and is the best candidate to challenge Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party. In order to run for the next president, Kim Moon-soo resigned from his ministerial position the day before and joined the People Power Party on the same day.
