Constitutional Court of Korea initiates the trial process of the impeachment case of Yoon Seok-yul

Jinsan data, December 14th news, according to the report of the Korean Association, the Constitutional Court of Korea officially launched the impeachment case of President Yoon Suk-yeol on the 14th. The Constitutional Court formally accepted the original impeachment resolution submitted by the Chairman of the National Assembly's Legislative Judiciary Committee, Jung Seung-lai, at around 6:15 pm on the same day. A person related to the Constitutional Court stated that the acting chief justice, Moon Hyung-pae, immediately convened a meeting of Constitutional Court judges at 10 am on the 16th to discuss the schedule for the impeachment case. Moon Hyung-pae stated that the case will be handled quickly and fairly. The Constitutional Court decided to appoint two preliminary judges responsible for the pre-trial preparation and evidence investigation of the case, and to form a legal research discussion group composed of constitutional researchers. It is reported that the judges of the Constitutional Court have started to study the case, and the presiding judge has not yet been determined.
