Dentsu conducts a demonstration experiment of "Ame-chan NFT" for the food service industry - Supporting human resource development with AR integration technology | CoinDesk JAPAN
Dentsu Group and the General Incorporated Association Osaka Restaurant Industry Association (ORA) announced on May 19 that they will begin a demonstration experiment aimed at building a human resources network in the restaurant industry starting in June 2025.
In this experiment, a new technology called "ARNFT," which combines AR (Augmented Reality) and NFT (Non-Fungible Token), will be utilized with an NFT named "Amecan NFT."
According to the release, the food service industry has struggled for many years with securing and retaining talent. In particular, it is necessary to communicate the appeal of the industry and the significance of working to younger generations and international students, as well as to promote interaction in the workplace. This demonstration experiment aims to contribute to solving these issues.
In the experiment, students participating in the internship program hosted by ORA will receive "Am candy NFT" using NFC (Near Field Communication) technology.
This NFT was originally designed as a solid "candy" and gradually changes shape as participating students engage in activities at cooperating dining establishments and event-related facilities, interact with senior employees and supervisors, and receive advice from mentors.
This change visually expresses emotional connections such as the development of human relationships and mentor-mentee relationships, providing a mechanism to visualize the deepening of relationships.
By allowing both participating students and mentors to experience the changes in NFTs, we aim to enhance motivation and engagement.
This system applies the NFT technology method "ARNFT" developed by the Dentsu Group's R&D organization "Dentsu Innovation Initiative (DII)" along with AR developer Tomu Kawata and blockchain developer Sibira, as well as the agent optimization technology "Crypt Cubism" which allows for identity representation management under self-sovereignty according to individual characteristics.
As a collaborative research partner, Panasonic Holdings is participating in the joint development of the traceability infrastructure with DII. The Eternal Hospitality Group, which operates the yakitori chain "Torikizoku," is cooperating as a launch partner.
