Golden Gate (GGX) ZK Precompilation: Revolutionizing Gameplay and Costing Thousands of Times Lower

Golden Gate (GGX), as a new type of cross-chain infrastructure protocol, solves the problems of cross-chain communication and liquidity conversion that plague Web3.0 Layer1 and Layer2.

Its solution mainly involves two cores:

  1. Protocol-independent communication, which can realize the transmission of mainstream standard messages, including IBC, XCMP and LayerZero and other standards.
  2. Embedded hybrid virtual machine, which makes Golden Gate (GGX) a programmable Layer 0 specially designed for cross-chain applications, supporting all the tools it supports, such as EVM and WASM.

The hybrid virtual machine of Golden Gate (GGX) is crucial for unlocking native cross-chain applications and new zero-knowledge applications and infrastructure. At present, the public test network of Golden Gate (GGX) has been opened to developers of native cross-chain applications.

Hybrid VM + protocol-agnostic communication use case

Thanks to the inherent programmability of Golden Gate (GGX) and its protocol-independent cross-chain communication, innovative DeFi applications that were previously difficult to implement in other ecosystems can now be seamlessly deployed across chains to Golden Gate ( GGX). Combining these two features will have a more positive impact on applications built on Golden Gate (GGX). Currently, several development teams are taking advantage of this to develop innovative DeFi applications. These DeFi protocols will be powered by the cross-chain nature and programmability of Golden Gate (GGX).

Of course, Golden Gate (GGX) innovation doesn't stop there. Since Golden Gate (GGX)'s hybrid virtual machine natively supports zero-knowledge proof procedures, Golden Gate (GGX) applications can now be more innovative.

Zero Knowledge Precompilation: Critical Infrastructure

A precompiled EVM-based zero-knowledge proof system is included in the Golden Gate (GGX) optimized hybrid virtual machine. Specifically, the virtual machine contains precompilations of the Groth16 and Plonk proof systems, two of the most widely used and tested zero-knowledge proof primitives.

Golden Gate (GGX)'s native support for zero-knowledge proof means that zero-knowledge programs can be efficiently deployed on the chain, which will reduce Gas costs by up to 1000 times. By reducing Gas costs by three orders of magnitude, Golden Gate (GGX) makes on-chain zero-knowledge verification feasible, equivalent to a Layer1 blockchain focused on zero-knowledge, while inheriting the interoperability of the communication protocol-independent architecture sex. In addition to the above-mentioned next-generation cross-chain DeFi applications, the ZK precompilation of Golden Gate (GGX) may also open up more possible application scenarios.

Zero-knowledge technology is an important part of cryptography research and development. It is crucial to the future development of encrypted networks, mainly in two aspects: scalability and privacy.

Scalability and Privacy

Scalability has always been one of the biggest hurdles facing the blockchain, and zero-knowledge technology makes verifiable off-chain computation — Zk-Rollup — a reality. Many Zk-Rollups have been funded and successfully developed in recent years. In addition, according to the native characteristics of encryption, the permissionless blockchain is public, which means that the address and its transaction behavior are transparent, which exposes the flaw of no privacy mechanism. Although, zero-knowledge techniques can now enable scalable and private computation, helping systems and applications overcome these limitations. However, Ethereum and EVM were built after the development of zero-knowledge technology. At that time, it was not foreseeable to pre-integrate the proof system as a part of EVM, which made EVM use zero-knowledge proof to consume a lot of Gas.

To address these limitations, Golden Gate (GGX) natively supports zero-knowledge functionality in its virtual machine, which makes it easier to natively deploy various zero-knowledge use cases on Golden Gate (GGX), including Zk-Rollups, Go Centralized privacy trading platform, voting and other privacy protection technologies.

Zero-knowledge precompilation and Golden Gate (GGX) communication protocol-agnostic architecture open up new usage scenarios such as cross-chain dark pools and broader interoperability between zero-knowledge applications. As Golden Gate (GGX) is gaining more and more acceptance, this creates an opportunity to scale the network using zero-knowledge Rollup and build application-specific Layer 2 with Golden Gate (GGX) properties. Golden Gate (GGX) supports message standards of many protocols, including IBC, LayerZero, and XCMP protocols, which also makes it unique because it eliminates the developer's doubts about being limited to a certain protocol when doing cross-chain.

Golden Gate (GGX) has grasped the major trends in the development of new blockchain technologies: interoperability, programmability and zero-knowledge verification, which will further enhance the value proposition of Golden Gate (GGX)'s growing ecosystem.
