- The current focus of the Metaverse is games, with the majority of respondents playing games (95%) and identifying themselves as gamers (89%);
- Metaverse users have a higher adoption rate of cryptocurrency, NFT, DeFi and VR, 80% of Metaverse users use cryptocurrency, 50% of Metaverse users own NFT, and 14% of Metaverse users use DeFi products;
- 97% of Metaverse users surveyed hold cryptocurrencies, among which Bitcoin accounts for the highest proportion at 80.6%, followed by Ethereum (60.1%), and then Robux (30.3%);
- Metaverse users use cryptocurrencies more widely than e-commerce shoppers, indicating their hunger for innovation. More than half of Metaverse users (56%) expect their use of cryptocurrencies to increase in the next 5 years. A high percentage of respondents said that being able to use cryptocurrencies (89%) and stablecoins (84%) to make purchases in the Metaverse is very important.
- It is estimated that the total expenditure of the meta universe will reach 72.6 billion US dollars next year, and the average annual expenditure will reach 92.7 billion US dollars in the next 5 years.
