Microsoft will give users of its Azure government cloud service, including various U.S. agencies, access to artificial intelligence models from ChatGPT creator OpenAI, according to Bloomberg. Microsoft plans to announce on Wednesday local time that Azure government service customers can use OpenAI's two large language models through the Microsoft Azure OpenAI service, the latest GPT-4 and the early GPT-3. Microsoft is understood to be the largest investor in OpenAI and uses its technology to power its Bing chatbot. The U.S. Department of Defense, the Department of Energy, and NASA are Microsoft Azure Government Services customers.
