Jinse Finance reported that the South Korean Financial Services Commission announced that Haru Invest is an undeclared virtual asset operator, an undeclared operator, and is not managed and supervised by the authorities. An FIU official said that the FIU will only determine whether it falls under the scope of virtual asset business after receiving inquiries from companies. Criminal penalties could be imposed if the company is judged to be engaged in illegal and unreported business, and Haru Invest was able to operate without reporting business because it was not clear whether virtual asset deposit services were included within its scope of reporting.

Jinse Finance previously reported that the digital asset management platform Haru Invest Korea (Haru Invest for short) officially announced the suspension of deposits and withdrawals yesterday. It is suspected that it immediately closed its office and canceled some social media accounts.
