According to "Kobe News NEXT" reported by IT House, Kobe City, Japan is verifying the feasibility of introducing AI into municipal work. Recently, the Kobe local government has provided volunteers with a mobile app that uses AI to plan patrol routes to help them complete patrols efficiently and reduce crimes. The app is provided by a Tokyo-based software development company. Guided by preset crime-prone locations and distances, AI will automatically generate a patrol route for users. At the same time, this app can also display a crime prediction map based on the crime occurrence information released by the police, as a reference for volunteers. During the patrol, if volunteers find graffiti, illegal dumping of garbage, etc., they can take photos in the app and share them with all volunteers, and they can also share information in real time to actively prevent criminal activities. The Kobe City Government stated that it will decide whether to fully introduce the technology in the future through the verification effect of volunteers. As previously reported, the Governor of Tokyo, Japan: All departments of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government will fully introduce generative AI such as ChatGPT in August.
