Iris Energy Shares Jump After Bitcoin Miner Reveals Expansion Plans
Iris Energy (IREN) announced plans to increase its hash rate capacity by 63% to 9.1 exahashes per second (EH/s) by early 2024. The company is building 80MW of data center space and is exploring the possibility of expanding into energy intensive compute applications. It has four existing operating sites in British Columbia and Texas.
