In-depth dialogue with 3D Home: With a market of 4 trillion yuan and the support of millions of designers, home decoration design will give birth to AIGC's first killer money-making application?

In 2022, ChatGPT will be popular, and the super-money-burning AI large-scale model track will immediately enter the "thousand-model war", and the "battle situation" is extremely tragic. When the time comes to the middle of 2023, the popularity of AIGC remains undiminished, although entrepreneurs are still rushing into the game. How exactly is AIGC technology used? In what scenarios can AIGC technology be implemented first? Where is the business model? This has become a topic that entrepreneurs around the world are most concerned about. Whoever solves this problem first is most likely to be a profitable "super application" in the AIGC era. At the beginning of June, Sanweijia, an AI+cloud industrial software company, announced that it had completed the D round of financing of several hundred million yuan, with a post-investment valuation of US$600 million. The financing funds will be mainly used to accelerate the iterative upgrade of Sanweijia's product matrix, and increase investment in research and development in AI and other technologies. Sunway Home is an undisputed TOP player in the field of home decoration design in China. From marketing, design to order placement and production, the one-stop service it creates has made many people understand what is the "what you see is what you get" home decoration design experience . The deep and complete industrial foundation, and the concept and practice of AIGC in advance, all make this company a typical representative of the trend of "AIGC + industry landing" in 2023. What is the concept and experience of 3D Home in the fields of AI and AIGC? How do they see the next industry opportunities and challenges? On June 28, Cao Jian, partner and chief product officer of Sanweijia, participated in the Emerging AIGC Industry Application Salon co-sponsored by Babbitt, China AIGC Industry Alliance (AIGCxChina) and Timestamp Weilan. At the event, Cao Jian not only made a special sharing entitled "3D Vertical Large Model Empowers Intelligent Manufacturing", he also had a 1-on-1 CEO dialogue with Babbitt CEO Wang Lei, from the perspective of 3D Home's years of experience in the industry Starting from experience, it decodes in detail the opportunities and challenges that AI and AIGC bring to the home decoration design industry.

Three-dimensional home Cao Jian makes a theme sharing Three-dimensional home Cao Jian makes a theme sharing Cao Jian introduced that the use of AIGC in the home decoration design and intelligent manufacturing industries is an industrial application. It needs to be authentic and can be implemented. If a designer uses AIGC to generate a "beautiful picture" of home decoration design, but it cannot be produced, that is meaningless. Therefore, the latest 3D experts need to turn AIGC's imaginative drawing method into a kind of "precise control"**, and on the one hand, give full play to AIGC's "variable magic power". At the same time, the bitmaps produced by AIGC should correspond to and match accurate 3D vector design data (pictures) that meet the needs of industrial production. This "magic" is also a large model, which may be a vertical 3D large model that only belongs to this industry. In fact, before AIGC became popular, in the home decoration design and intelligent manufacturing industries, the application of AI has been applied in all aspects of the manufacturing industry such as design, production, management and service. Use big data and AI technology to mine and give full play to the value of data, and carry out energy saving and consumption reduction, equipment predictive operation and maintenance. How will the "second half" of the industry develop? Cao Jian believes that AIGC, the largest 3D model, needs to get through the data integration of the manufacturing industry. That is to say, AIGC not only draws a design drawing, but completes the connection of the entire industrial chain from design to production. It can be used as a picture for consumers to watch, and it can also be connected to production in the end. ** "First, AIGC technology can generate 3D vectorized product data. Secondly, the integration of 3D product data runs through all links, and the output format is automatically converted. Finally, the data is uploaded to the cloud through the entire link, creating the foundation for intelligent production scheduling and intelligent operation. "He said.

1-on-1 interview between Wang Lei (left) and Cao Jian (right) 1-on-1 interview between Wang Lei (left) and Cao Jian (right) The following content comes from the dialogue between Wang Lei and Cao Jian, organized by Babbitt. **Wang Lei: First of all, I would like to talk about the issue of financing. Some people say that AIGC has increased your valuation a lot in this round of financing. What do you think of this issue? ** Cao Jian: Not necessarily because it is AIGC. The entire home furnishing industry is a very large industry. There is a transaction scale of about 4 trillion yuan in China, and it is increasing year by year. In the past, China has been lacking such an independent software provider, and we have this opportunity. **Wang Lei: After getting this financing, can you introduce your investment plan in AIGC? ** Cao Jian: We have been investing. In 2018, Turing Lab was established to study the intelligent design of AI. In the face of a product with such a large stock market, we are a relatively pure technology company, and we will invest a lot in research and development. **Wang Lei: Over the years, we have seen various outlets or new technologies. Cloud, Metaverse, so this round of AIGC or AI, do you think there is any difference from the so-called tuyere of previous years? What do you think of this year's hottest AIGC? ** Cao Jian: Technological development always has a technical curve. After a new technology comes out, it overheats, then declines, and then prospers again. AI is actually already the second wave, and it has been hot in 2017. This wave actually brought about some substantial changes in productivity. In the past, it may have been a gimmick that was greater than reality, and everyone couldn't understand it. But today, everyone has to learn AI. **Wang Lei: Now there is an AI anxiety disorder, AIGC anxiety disorder. For example, the media reported how many jobs were replaced by AIGC. What do the designers of 3D Home think about this new technology? Do they feel anxious? ** Cao Jian: In China, there may be many designers. People call them designers, but because of market constraints and business environment problems, they can only be said to be drawing. One drawing lasts for several years. I haven't turned over the books, and I haven't studied the materials much. In fact, a designer has to learn a lot. He is a job that requires profound knowledge. Drawing is a tool for designers to express their thoughts and ideas to consumers and buyers. It is a small part of his work, and it should not be the tool he spends most of his time on. He should spend more time learning technology, engineering, and consumer psychology. He should make his design not have too many pitfalls in the later stage of construction, so that consumers can live comfortably. I don't think AI will replace designers, but graphic workers. This concept needs to be changed. **Wang Lei: We all say that AIGC is good and that is good. In the home decoration design industry, do you feel some shortcomings of AIGC? Where are the shortcomings? ** Cao Jian: For now, AIGC brings a vision to our industry. The value in actual production has not been effectively verified, and everyone is still groping. As a technology company, I am still very optimistic about this track. AIGC can do something here. So far, it's certainly flawed. Today's AIGC puts it into the link of the real production chain. I think we still have a lot of work to do. **Wang Lei: AIGC technology is developing very fast. Will there be some entrepreneurial companies that will overtake top companies like 3D after mastering advanced technology? It may not belong to this industry, but it will deal a dimensionality reduction blow to companies in the industry. What do you think about this question? ** Cao Jian: I think leading companies in various industries will have such troubles. We were established in 2013 and have gone through many rounds of such tests. In 2013 and 2014, you can count hundreds of companies like ours, but not many persist. Generally speaking, the life cycle may be within two or three years. The influencing factors include capital and technology on the other hand. . Today, I think the influencing factors may be more leverage and business models, as well as understanding and innovation of the industry. So, there may indeed be some opportunities here. However, we are also making continuous progress, using these new technologies to surpass some of our predecessors, such as some large overseas companies. **Wang Lei: We may have such a sense of crisis all the time as a business. Share with us how to face a kind of competition and a kind of challenge brought by AIGC, and how do you see the opportunities in it. ** Cao Jian: Liu Qiangdong once shared a point of view. There will always be small teams in large companies to innovate some business models. These innovations need to be considered based on some latitudes, such as the value of services, where the market is, and who are the users. Whether the cost can be supported, and whether the service has some characteristics. I think some new technologies may appear every year. We have embraced VR and the metaverse, but which ones can be implemented? This requires me to watch this matter quietly first, instead of being full of anxiety and restlessness, or being too excited. **Wang Lei: An aspect that we practitioners are also very concerned about is data security. A large model must be trained with a large amount of data, and the acquisition of data, including customer data, may cause some concerns. What do you think about data security issues, privacy protection and copyright issues? ** Cao Jian: Every time a new technology comes out, there will be such doubts. When the cloud era came, everyone questioned this matter. Many leading enterprises require privatized deployment, and small enterprises use cloud leasing. In fact, the cloud is relatively safe now, because many things are subject to regulatory constraints and are gradually being improved. I believe that AI will also have this day. If you don't have a car, then you don't think about the design of the seat belt. The car must be built first, and then the seat belt is designed. The issue of copyright may be solved by blockchain technology in the future. Encrypted authentication, traceable. Of course, this is not what we are going to solve, we still have to focus on the business and application of our own industry. When something like this comes out, we just plug in right away. **Wang Lei: Many people are discussing how to connect AIGC design and final production. You also mentioned that this is very critical in the industry. Let me share some specific practices and thinking of 3D. ** Cao Jian: AIGC is actually a neural network rendering technology. It simulates after looking at many pictures. In the traditional manufacturing industry, whether it is producing a pair of shoes, a piece of clothing, or a piece of our furniture, there is craftsmanship behind it. Designers need to go through rigorous design, and will take into account the fit of materials, processing properties, etc. during the design process. When many production companies use our 3D model to model, the model built in it has craft attributes. We use these data with process attributes when designing. At present, AIGC looks at superficial skills and has no interior, but this does not mean that AIGC will not have it in the future. **Wang Lei: Looking forward to the future of AIGC in the field of home decoration technology in five years. ** Cao Jian: Is five years too far away? At the beginning of its establishment, Sanweijia was talking about "what you see is what you get". 10 or 20 years ago, it was very expensive to obtain a rendering of a house for renovation. Now all industries say that you buy my things, and I will provide you with renderings for free. By connecting AI technology with our production data, I can think of a scenario where consumers are doing partial remodeling of their children's rooms, or the kitchen. He himself can open the mobile APP to make a design, then place an order, and finally, the factory will send the finished product to the consumer. In the middle, there may only be some online remote services to help consumers achieve such a result. This may turn decoration into a high-frequency consumption and consumer service. I think this will have an intersection with Apple's depth camera, depth gauge and other technologies. But whether it's three years or five years, I don't know.
