According to PANews news on July 2, the Web3 social graph protocol Lens Protocol released the LIP-4 proposal, proposing to introduce the Profile Guardian security layer to provide additional security for Lens Protocol configuration files and help users prevent phishing scams.

Profile Guardian will disable key operations such as Lens Profile approval and transfer. Profile guardians are enabled by default and can be opted out if the profile owner wishes to move them to a new address. Users can choose to turn off Profile Guardian, which will initiate a 7-day security cooldown period for EOA wallets. During this period, ecological services such as the Lens API can track and provide data to the client to notify the user that their profile is in an unsafe state and recommend measures to ensure profile security.
