Jinse Finance reported that Giovanni Viciioso, head of encrypted products at CME Group, said that institutions are interested in digital assets and the technology behind the blockchain, including tokenization. CME, which first listed bitcoin futures in 2017, added bitcoin futures to its contracts earlier this year and ethereum options contracts in 2022.


Viciioso mentioned that more and more clients, institutional clients are really starting to think more about the technology underpinning Bitcoin and Ethereum, and they're seeing more conversations about how the underlying technology can really drive innovation -- such as tokenization, which It is also the real reason for CME to launch crypto-related products.
