According to IT House citing a Bloomberg report on August 15, Hollywood film companies have proposed a new plan to the screenwriters on strike, including making concessions on issues such as artificial intelligence and access to audience data. The report quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that the Union of Film and Television Producers has agreed to ensure that the writers of the scripts are human beings, rather than being replaced by artificial intelligence. Studios will also share watch-time data on streaming services with writers, the report said. Among other elements of the package, a writer's remaining payment will increase by more than 20% when his show appears on a network other than his original one. According to reports, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos has become a powerful force in pushing for a deal, and Disney CEO Bob Iger has joined him in recent weeks to seek an agreement with the writer.
