Golden Finance reports that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has held a closed-door meeting on Thursday, August 31, 2023. There are rumors that this confidential meeting may involve reaching a settlement with Ripple. The Sunshine Act Notice subsequently issued by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission provided limited details about the meeting and left room for market speculation. It is said that the relevant discussion topics involved the formulation and settlement of injunctive actions, Institutionalization and settlement of administrative proceedings, settlement of litigation claims, and other matters related to inspection and enforcement proceedings. It is important to note that as of now, the SEC and Ripple Labs have not provided official confirmation of the Ripple settlement or any specific details about the discussions.
Jinse Finance previously reported that Ripple filed a motion against the SEC's interim appeal.
