Golden Finance reported that Bloomberg news said that for several months, DCG and its CEO Barry Silbert have been facing fraud charges from Cameron Winklevoss, co-founder of the cryptocurrency trading platform Gemini Trust Co. Although they deny the allegations, federal officials are still digging into the investigation, conducting an ongoing review of the internal financial dealings of DCG and its subsidiary Genesis Global Capital.

Brooklyn prosecutors, FBI agents and SEC staff have interviewed Winklevoss in recent months to discuss his allegations against DCG, according to people familiar with the matter. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York specifically questioned Silbert about his conduct, said the people, who requested anonymity to discuss the confidential investigation.
Investigations by U.S. attorneys, the FBI or the SEC do not always result in charges or enforcement actions.
