According to a report by ZDNet on September 13, after a six-month testing period, Adobe announced the launch of the commercial version of Firefly for generative AI, allowing users to use text prompts in more than 100 languages to generate images, text effects, and vector graphics. Adobe Chief Technology Officer Ely Greenfield said: "Firefly beta has generated more than 2 billion images, and we are amazed by the participation and feedback from creators." In addition, Adobe also released a new Firefly web application that allows users to Test functionality. Users simply visit the web app, log in or create an Adobe account, and tinker with the various AI models to their liking to try it out for themselves. According to the press release, users will also be able to use Firefly-supported features in Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Express, including Generative Fill and Generative Expand in Photoshop, Generative Recolor in Illustrator, and Text to Image and Text effects in Adobe Express. Finally, Adobe has launched Generative Credits, which allocate tokens to paid users of the Firefly web app, Express Premium and Creative Cloud for generating AI image workflows.
