Golden Finance reported that Reuters reported that the Manhattan federal prosecutor asked the Florida judge overseeing FTX’s civil litigation to suspend the case until the criminal trial of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried is completed.


Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney's Office in Manhattan explained that because the civil charges against the former insider for defrauding FTX customers almost completely overlapped with the government's criminal case against Bankman-Fried, who has pleaded not guilty to these and other charges. Prosecutors said allowing the plaintiffs' attorneys to proceed with the civil case could interfere with the upcoming criminal trial.
