Meta Chief Technology Officer: We are not lagging behind our competitors, and most people will experience generative AI for the first time through Meta
According to IT House citing AFP, Meta's Chief Technology Officer Andrew Boz Bosworth told reporters at the Connect conference for developers, "Most people in the world will experience generative AI for the first time through our (technology)." According to reports, Meta was once widely considered to be lagging behind competitors such as Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI in the field of AI, but Andrew Bosworth firmly said, “Meta is not lagging behind. Even before ChatGPT came out at the end of last year, we were already leading the way globally. It has enhanced its platform with AI.”
As previously reported, during Meta Connect 2023, Meta released a chatbot called "Meta AI" and reached a cooperation with Microsoft to integrate Bing search into Meta AI. Meta AI is now available in beta in the United States. Users can access it through Meta's social media and chat services, including WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram.
