According to news on October 3, SBF’s defense team in a document submitted on Monday hopes that the U.S. judge responsible for the FTX founder’s case will clarify the scope of the ruling on certain arguments that lawyers can make during the trial. Arguments include whether FTX can be said to be unregulated in the U.S., even though FTX.US does follow applicable rules. Other issues include whether the SBF will be able to discuss the possibility of substantial compensation for FTX creditors in the exchange's ongoing bankruptcy case, and Could the former FTX executive mention his charitable giving and philanthropy?

Earlier this month, Judge Lewis Kaplan ruled in favor of the Justice Department, granting prosecutors' motion to block SBF from making certain arguments at trial.
