Bank for International Settlements Study Suggests New DeFi Data Platform Could Support Future Regulation of the Crypto Market

A study by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) suggests that a new decentralized finance data platform called Project Atlas could be used to regulate the crypto market. The platform has been used to map significant off-chain international flows between crypto exchanges, providing valuable data for central banks. The study highlights the need for better knowledge of risks in the crypto market, as well as the potential for data reporting requirements and regulation of crypto market actors.
