Sébastien Borget, co-founder of The Sandbox, said in an interview that while the metaverse plot speculation boom appears to be over, major brands and users in Asia and the Middle East are increasingly adopting The Sandbox and turning to offering new gaming experiences.

The Sandbox now features racing and fighting games created by various brands and creators, and plans to launch a mobile app in the near future. Since supporting self-release on The Sandbox, creators have launched more than 200 experiences.
The data shows that since the beginning of the year, The Sandbox plot sale price (seven-day MA) has been hovering between $500 and $1,000, and at one point in 2021 it exceeded $15,000.
Borget noted that brands don't seem too worried about low prices for virtual plots, noting that several well-known companies have moved into The Sandbox to provide creative marketing experiences.
As part of the company's commitment to support its community of content creators, Nicola Sebastian has been appointed as the new Chief Content Officer. Previously at PlayStation Studios, he joined the company and will work with content creators, game studios, and brand partners to deliver new content and experiences from single-player games to social hubs.
In addition, according to Borget, the company is about to explore new experiences related to movies with brands and companies outside of Hollywood. (The Block)
