According to DoNews, on October 30, Baichuan Intelligent released the Baichuan2-192K large model. With a whopping 192K contextual window, it claims to be the longest in the world. Baichuan2-192K can process about 350,000 Chinese characters, which is 4.4 times that of Claude2 (which supports 100K context windows and about 80,000 words), and 14 times that of GPT-4 (which supports 32K context windows, about 25,000 words). It is reported that Baichuan2-192K performed well in 10 evaluation sets of Chinese and English long text Q&A and abstracts, such as Dureader, NarrativeQA, LSHT, and TriviaQA, and 7 of them obtained SOTA. Baichuan Intelligence said that Baichuan2-192K will be provided to enterprise users in the form of API calls and privatized deployment, and at present, Baichuan Intelligence has launched the API internal testing of Baichuan2-192K, which is open to core partners in legal, media, financial and other industries.
