The Ava Labs founder confirmed a 12% layoff to reallocate resources to drive the company and the Avalanche ecosystem
Emin Gün Sirer, founder and CEO of Ava Labs, said in a post on the X platform that the layoffs affected 12% of Ava Labs' workforce and that the layoffs allowed the company to reallocate resources to double down on the company and the Avalanche ecosystem.
Previously, Ava Labs laid off a large number of employees on Monday, and multiple affected employees confirmed the news. The layoffs have already affected the company's communications and marketing teams. Garrison Yang, vice president of growth and strategy at Ava Labs, posted on the X platform on Monday afternoon that the layoffs affected many in the company's marketing department. Another employee who was laid off wrote that the layoffs also affected "many others."
