ACCORDING TO A REPORT BY WALL STREET NEWS ON NOVEMBER 17, DAVID CAHN, A PARTNER AT SEQUOIA, A WELL-KNOWN VENTURE CAPITAL INSTITUTION, SAID THAT THE GREATEST VALUE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS NOT TO ACHIEVE AGI (ARTIFICIAL GENERAL INTELLIGENCE, WHICH CAN COMPLETELY REPLACE HUMAN AI IN COMPLEX FIELDS), BUT TO ALLOW MORE PEOPLE TO MASTER SOFTWARE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY WITH AI ASSISTANCE. He noted that there is still a debate surrounding whether AGI can be achieved. While the vision of AGI is very good, he believes that AGI may just be a distraction, and that there is no need to wait for a distant technological leap, and that AI can now benefit humanity and have a similar impact as AGI: "There are more developers today than ever before.
