PANews reported on December 7 that, according to The Block, the on-chain custody protocol Safe (formerly Gnosis Safe) has partnered with digital asset banking group Sygnum and UK-regulated recovery service provider Coincover to launch optional cryptocurrency recovery services for users. The service is called "Safe RecoveryHub" and offers a range of options from self-custody to custody and social recovery. RecoveryHub users will be able to restore access to crypto assets through designated "restorers," including personal backup devices, family members, friends, or other social recovery collaborators. Safe says that as of today, the recovery service will be available to all Safe Wallet users, and the partner solution will be available in the first half of 2024.

Notably, hardware wallet provider Ledger also partnered with Coincover earlier this year to launch a similar recovery solution that leverages advanced cryptography and multi-party computation.
