The Celestia Foundation announced that it has raised $100 million, led by Bain Capital Crypto, with participation from Syncracy Capital, 1kx, Robot Ventures, and Placeholder. Celestia will release Modular Consensus and Data Network in October 2023 and plans to expand to 1GB blocks to increase data throughput, which is expected to exceed Visa's throughput. Celestia can be used to deploy high-throughput unblockable applications.
