The blockchain gaming industry is not mature enough! Pixels: Still needs to solve three major problems, still has development potential
Web3 games are still in an immature stage.
During the Binance Block Chain Week held at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, foreign media Cointelegraph interviewed Luke Barwikowski, CEO of Pixels, and Ilman Shazhaev, founder and CEO of Farcana, discussing the current status of Web3 games and the opportunities for gaming companies in Web3 despite the challenges facing the industry.
Barwikowski stated in an interview that despite the many milestones achieved by Web3 gaming projects, the entire industry is still not mature enough, and there are still many things that need to be addressed. He said: 'Web3 games are much less mature than people imagine, there are still many things to figure out, and there is a long way to go.' He emphasized that while the Web3 gaming industry provides opportunities for entry and innovation, overcoming various obstacles is still necessary to truly realize its potential.

Three major issues urgently need to be resolved
Barwikowski pointed out that real-name user identification, anti-robot, and user quality are the three major problems faced by Block chain games. He believes that these issues are the key factors currently hindering the development of the Web3 gaming industry and need to be taken seriously and addressed.
He added, "If these problems are not resolved, you can't really call it a Web3 game. This is also the core issue that "Pixels" is currently challenging and trying to solve."
To address these challenges, Barwikowski shared the measures taken by "Pixels". They introduced a reputation system that gives 'scores' based on users' behavior in the game. The company uses on-chain data to track players' activities to determine if they exhibit bot behavior. This approach helps improve user quality, prevent bot interference in the game ecosystem, and ensure a genuine gaming experience for real players.
Open opportunities, Web3 brings new hope for game projects
Despite the problems and challenges that still exist in the industry, Ilman Shazhaev, the founder and CEO of Farcana, still believes that entering Web3 has many incomparable advantages for gaming projects. He told Cointelegraph that Web3 technology continues to provide vast opportunities for gaming companies. He pointed out that developing products in the traditional gaming environment is "very difficult" because it requires team building, fundraising, and marketing.
He explained, "Out of a thousand companies, only ten may be successful. All games are dying out because it is very difficult to thrive and grow in this industry. This is due to fierce competition, a huge and mature market."

However, Shazhaev emphasizes that in the world of Web3, fundraising, business development, and marketing can all be completed rapidly, providing new projects with a faster development speed and higher efficiency. Taking "Farcana" as an example, a Web3 shooting game, they completed content in two years that would typically take four to five years to develop. Shazhaev describes this as "rapid development," believing it to be more efficient than other companies and providing new hope for gaming projects.
Despite the immaturity and numerous challenges faced by the Web3 gaming industry, industry leaders remain confident in its development potential. By addressing key issues, Web3 games are expected to achieve greater breakthroughs. At the same time, Web3 technology provides game companies with opportunities for rapid development, shortening the time for product development and promotion. With more resources and innovation being invested by companies, it is believed that the Web3 gaming industry will usher in new growth.
