DPIN Hanoi AI + DePIN Summit: Co-creating a blueprint to accelerate the construction of a new ecosystem for Decentralization AI infrastructure
Recently, a grand event focusing on the integration of cutting-edge technologies—the AI+DePIN Summit was successfully held in Hanoi, Vietnam. This summit was jointly organized by innovative projects in the Web3 field such as DPIN, QPIN, and 42DAO, gathering numerous industry leaders, technical experts, and community members from the Web3 sector. At the beginning of the summit, Daniel Schwartz, the Chief Operating Officer of the DPIN Foundation, delivered an opening speech, systematically outlining the core concept of DePIN. He pointed out that DePIN aims to build and maintain a community-owned and operated physical infrastructure network by leveraging blockchain technology and token incentive mechanisms, effectively avoiding the single point of failure risk inherent in traditional centralized models, significantly enhancing operational transparency, and fairly redistributing network value back to the community members who contribute. He explained that the conversion of tangible or intangible assets such as real estate, precious metals (such as gold), art, and even carbon credits into digital tokens through blockchain technology has the potential to break down many barriers in the traditional asset market. RWA tokenization can greatly improve the liquidity of assets, so that assets that were previously difficult to divide or trade can be fragmented. At the same time, based on the immutability and transparency of the blockchain, the ownership records and transaction history of assets can be publicly verified, which enhances the trust of the market. In addition, it lowers the barrier to entry and gives a wider range of investors the opportunity to access and invest in high-value assets.
In discussing the intrinsic connections between DePIN and RWA, Daniel emphasized the potential synergies between the two. He explained that the DePIN network can provide the necessary infrastructure support for the tokenization and management of RWA, such as verifying the physical state or environmental data of assets through decentralized sensor networks, or using decentralized storage to ensure the security of relevant legal documents and ownership records. However, Ted emphasized the tremendous opportunities that the region holds: the fast-tracked digital transformation process offers vast application scenarios for new technologies; the growing local pool of tech talent provides intellectual support for innovation; relatively low operational costs attract global attention; the vibrant startup ecosystem is full of energy; and there is a generally open and embracing attitude towards emerging technologies like blockchain at both social and governmental levels. Together, these factors create favorable conditions for Southeast Asia to become a hotbed for the development of DePIN and RWA.
Pekka Kelkka detailed DPIN's localization cooperation strategy in Vietnam and surrounding areas. He revealed that DPIN plans to establish joint research projects with top local universities to jointly explore the cutting-edge technologies of DePIN and AI. Actively support local potential start-ups by providing resources, computing power support and technical guidance; Edge computing nodes are deployed in selected tech parks to create a "real-world application test environment" (Living Labs) to validate and optimize technology solutions in real-world scenarios. In addition, Pekka also shared an update on the progress of the DPIN GPU Computing Test Center in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, which is scheduled to start trial operation in the third quarter of 2025.
