SKATE: A New Infrastructure Protocol Breaking Down Cross-Chain Barriers

Learn how SKATE breaks the barriers between chains, connecting EVM, SolanaVM, and TonVM to create a user-native experience and a developer-friendly environment, promoting the development of cross-chain applications.

What is SKATE?

Figure:https://www.skatechain.org/

SKATE is a cross-chain infrastructure protocol that allows users to initiate operations on their familiar chains (such as TON, Solana, EVM) while handling interactions with other chains or virtual machines (VMs) in the background. By connecting mainstream virtual machines like EVM, SolanaVM, and TonVM, SKATE provides users with a truly “on-chain native” experience.

What problem does it solve?

The main issue facing Web3 users today is that while there are more and more chains, the interoperability between chains is very poor. A TON user who wants to use a DApp on Polygon typically needs to understand complex cross-chain bridges and asset mapping processes, which is extremely unfriendly for beginners.

Similarly, developers who want to build multi-chain applications must deal with the different VM architectures, signature rules, and data consistency issues of each chain, resulting in high development costs and complex maintenance.

The goal of SKATE is: “Users do not need to leave the native chain, and developers do not need to write multiple sets of code.”

Analysis of SKATE’s Three-Layer Architecture

SKATE achieves its cross-chain capabilities through the following three core components:

  1. Skate Hub ChainAs the main chain, it manages all application logic and state synchronization, serving as the central hub of the protocol.
  2. Skate AVS (Active Validator Set)Built on Eigenlayer, serving as a trusted validation role to ensure the correctness of each task.
  3. Executor NetworkResponsible for executing tasks to the target chain, all Executors are verified by Skate AVS.

The design of this architecture allows “user intentions” to be transmitted securely and efficiently from the source chain and to complete cross-chain operations.

Ecological gameplay: Skatepark and Ollies

To attract users to experience the SKATE ecosystem, the team launchedSkateparkinteractive platform, and through tokens OlliesIncentive Implementation:

  • Ollies Total Supply: 5 billion
  • Acquisition Method
- Interact with the Skate DApp
- Participate in community activities
- DeFi activities (such as SkateFi)
- Invite friends to register and experience

The currently launched applications include:

  • Skate ShuffleAllows SolanaVM users to use multiple EVM applications without bridging.
  • Skate PolymarketPlace a bet directly on Polymarket on Polygon from TON or Solana.

Future Prospects of SKATE

SKATE is not only a cross-chain tool but also an advocate for a new paradigm of Web3 applications. In the future, SKATE is expected to incorporate more VMs into its ecosystem, realizing “all chains, one entry point,” transforming chains from barriers into collaborative nodes.

SKATE market performance

SKATE is now listed on the Gate spot market, on June 12, 2025, at a price of approximately $0.05. Click the link to trade:https://www.gate.com/trade/SKATE_USDT
The new coins have significant price fluctuations upon launch, please trade cautiously and be aware of the risks.
