But this also raises a series of questions about their future, particularly in relation to banks.
Today, the dominant model of stablecoins is simple:
1 $ deposited → 1 $ of T-Bill purchased → 1 stablecoin $ issued.
Issuers like @circle (USDC) or @Tether_to (USDT) earn the yield from bonds ( that's why they are also so profitable).
It is efficient. But this model is neither truly banking nor completely decentralized.
